i fit 2 x h/4 quartz halogen bulbs which were 65 watts, which were better than the valps original glow worm bulbs but then i acquired some 130/90 eye ball burners. i guess the cables on the valp may have taken the extra load but the light switches certainly would have burnt out in a very short time. so now i am satisfied with the project which took about two days of rolling about under the valp and trying different routes for the cables.
